At Ryvers we are lucky to have lots of outdoor space including a learning garden and wildlife area, a pond and an outdoor classroom.

 

 

 

What is Outdoor Learning?

Outdoor learning offers ALL learners regular opportunities to achieve, develop confidence and self-esteem, through hands-on learning experiences in a natural environment.

 

Why is outdoor learning such a great opportunity for your child?

Outdoor learning is a long-term process with frequent and regular sessions rather than a one-off visit. Sessions will be planned to meet the needs of the children and we will observe the children’s interaction and communication.

 

Our outdoor learning session will take place in a natural wooded environment to support the development of a relationship between the learner and the natural world.

Outdoor learning aims to promote the holistic development of all those involved, fostering resilient, confident, independent and creative learners.

 

Outdoor learning offers learners the opportunity to take supported risks appropriate to the environment and to themselves.
